DESCRIPTION:
International Therapeutic Recreation Month focuses on the activities of recreational therapists, and the impact they have on helping people achieve fulfilling lives.
Recreational therapists develop therapy sessions to improve patients' mental and physical well-being, design recreation programs and coordinate volunteer services and paid entertainment. They can be found in hospitals, government institutions, nursing homes and other places that assist the wounded and sick.
